What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so you don’t have to re-enter them every time you visit or navigate between pages. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels.

2

How We Use Cookies

We use cookies in three categories:

Strictly Necessary

Required for the service to function. These include authentication session cookies, CSRF protection tokens, and user preference settings. You cannot opt out of these cookies without breaking your ability to log in.

Functional

Remember your preferences such as language and locale settings. These are not required for basic functionality but improve your experience.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand how visitors use Make Memoir, such as which pages are most visited and how long sessions last. We do not track you across other websites, and we do not build individual profiles. Analytics data is never sold.

We do not use advertising, retargeting, or third-party tracking cookies.

3

Third-Party Cookies

A small number of third-party services we use may set cookies on your device:

  • Stripe— Sets cookies during the payment flow for fraud prevention and session integrity. Stripe’s cookies are only active during checkout. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase— Our authentication and database provider may set session cookies to keep you logged in.

Your Choices

  • View the cookies stored on your device
  • Delete all or specific cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites or all sites
  • Configure browser notifications when a site tries to set a cookie

Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies (such as authentication cookies) will prevent you from logging in to Make Memoir.

6

Do Not Track

We respect Do Not Track (DNT) signals sent by your browser. Our analytics are aggregate-only and do not build individual profiles, so our data practices are consistent with DNT regardless of whether the signal is detected.
